Who is Organizing this National Event?
Let’s Take A Stand is organized by the Alzheimer’s Foundation of America (AFA), a national nonprofit organization whose mission is “to provide optimal quality of care and services to individuals confronting Alzheimer’s disease and related dementias, and to their caregivers and families – through member organizations dedicated to improving quality of life.” AFA provides many services, and national initiatives, including a toll-free hot line, and its 800 member organizations nationwide offer hands-on programs and services to meet the educational, emotional, practical, social and financial needs of families affected by the disease.
